We will use breakout rooms to discuss philosophical questions with small groups. Groups will have 3-5 minutes to discuss a question with a facilitator.

Here is a preview of the questions we will discuss:

1. Are some things outside of human comprehension – things that humans will never understand, no matter what we do?
2. Which is most “real”—the chair you are sitting on, the molecules that make up the chair, or the sensations and images you have of the chair as you are sitting on it?
3. Have you ever made a decision that was entirely your own, that was no one’s responsibility but yours?
4. Are you a good person? How do you know?
5. What, if anything, do you think distinguishes humans from other living things?
